A dark shadowy figure dashed from the bedroom door to his bed. It might be a burglar. The figure slid underneath his bedcovers.  He felt … a little bit scared. After all, he was also in the bed.
Everyone thought his newly purchased Victorian house to be haunted. What if it wasn't a human? What if it were a ghost! David switched on the bedside lamp. A dark-haired woman lay beside him, her head on his spare pillow.
"Get out of my bed." he hissed. She was lucky he hadn't put a knife at her throat. He had hesitated, thinking he might be dealing with a supernatural being.

“Calm down.” Tawny Tanner set her hand on her fiancé’s shoulder.
Josh swatted her away. “There’s a Bigfoot at the end of the road. He’d like nothing better than to murder me.”
Her brows shot up. “Bigfoots don’t exist, Josh.”
“They do!” He leaned forward; nose almost pressed to the windshield. “I saw one when I was a boy. She tried to clobber me with a tree branch!” His grip on the steering wheel went white. “They never forget, Tawny. They hold grudges.”
She sighed. “You mean to tell me a mythical forest ape has been plotting your assassination for twenty years?”
